During our two night stay in Inle Lake we were hosted by the lovely and new Mount Inle Lake Hotel, located in the center of Nyaung Shwe.
The hotel is beautiful with a stunning open-air reception. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and professional. They assisted us in booking a tuk-tuk to Red Mountain Estates Vineyards & Winery, a day trip by boat through Inle Lake, reconfirming our flight schedule and arranging airport transport.
The property consists of two-story complexes and bungalows. We stayed in a superior twin room, in one of the complexes, with an outdoor sitting area. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable with high quality amenities. It was ideal for a relaxing stay.
The landscaping throughout the property is delightful with greenery and flowers allover and a herb garden that they actually use!
The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast (either buffet or a la carte depending on the amount of guests staying) with Asian and Western options. Their lunch and dinner menus are fantastic with local and Thai dishes. The food is prepared to order and can be enjoyed indoor or outdoor overlooking the lush gardens.
They have a great bar too with an outstanding selection of cocktails and refreshments. Perfect for a little R&R after a long day of sightseeing.
For guests who like to hangout, the hotel amenities include table tennis, dart boards and pool tables for fun. And for those guests that prefer to go out and explore on their own, they provide complimentary bikes which are perfect to get around town. Just a 10 minute ride can take you to the lake side, different restaurants and the market.
Before our stay was over, we chatted a bit with the General Manager, Mrs. Moe Moe Win.
Mrs. Win is a lovely lady with many years of experience in the Luxury Travel Industry. Besides being an expert in hospitality, she is passionate about what she does and strives to make Mount Inle Lake Hotel into a first-rate accommodation choice. We think it already is!
During our conversation, we talked about our common love for animals. She mentioned her friend founded a local rescue center for abandoned dogs and asked if we would like to check it out. Of course we were interested!! Mrs. Win called her friend to make arrangements. Before checking out on our last day in Inle Lake, we went with Mrs Win to the dog center. I was thrilled to see the pups!
She totally went above and beyond the call of duty and made a lasting impression.
We loved our stay at Mount Inle Lake Hotel and highly recommend it. It has everything we could have asked for – a modern and yet relaxing ambiance, comfortable rooms and most importantly a warm, welcoming and exceptional staff!
